قصة افرح يا قلبي تقع احداثها في شمال لبنان، في بلدة يعيش فيها المسلمون والمسيحيون جنباً الى جنب، الى ان بدأت تتصاعد التيارات التكفيرية والقتل على الهوية.

نتابع حياة غسان الموسيقي الموهوب الذي اختار الهجرة بعد حادثة مأساوية المّت بعائلته.

تأخذنا علويّة صبح في رحلة الى الذات، الى الهروب من الماضي والالم والموروثات، نتساءل معها عن صراع الثقافات وتلاقيها، عن ماهية وجودنا في بلاد تتألم وتنزف بإستمرار.

تلك الرواية ليست نافذة على خيبات الوطن انما على الخيبات الذاتية التي يحصدها الفرد نتيجة هزيمة الجماعة.

We, along with the author, question the clash/ and the merge of cultures, and the purpose of our existence in countries that agonize and bleed continuously.

This novel is not an open window to the defeats of homelands, but to the personal blows one reaps as a result of society’s defeats.
